Remembering Bishop Thomas Gumbleton

The Malta Dental and Medical Clinic mourns the passing of Bishop Thomas Gumbleton, who died April 4, 2024, at the age of 94. The Clinic owes its existence to a casual conversation with the Bishop in the basement Soup Kitchen of St. Leo’s Church in Detroit in 2004, when he asked Order of Malta volunteers to help the guests of the soup kitchen who needed medical care.

We are deeply grateful to have had Bishop Gumbleton in our lives for so many years.
